R.A.P.S.
Roland Active Piezo
Sensor ( RAPS ) technology eliminates the drawbacks of
conventional contact-type 3D scanners. It scans data
with hair-splitting precision, picking up even the most
minute shape variations. Minimum scanning pitches for
the PIX-4 and PIX-30: X/Y-axis direction 0.002 to 0.197
inches settable in steps of 0.002 inches, Z-axis
direction 0.001 inches.
Scans
Almost Anything
The
PICZA scans a wide range of objects including soft
objects like clay and fruit that conventional contact
scanners find very difficult. PICZA can even scan glass,
impossible using optical scanners because the light
beams passes through the object without detecting it.
Easy Does
It
With only a power
switch, the PICZA takes all of its instructions from Dr.
PICZA software. Even people inexperienced at 3D CAD
design can scan clay shapes for use in
professional-quality computer graphics or produce any
handicraft.
Dr. PICZA
Software
Dr.
PICZA allows for complete control of the scan area,
including X-Y scan Resolution. As the PIX-30 or PIX-4
scans an object, it creates wire-frame models on the
fly. Color rendering, mirroring and inverting features
are also included along with the ability to export files
to popular 3D computer graphics and CAD programs.
Lots of
Formats
PICZA scans are
stored in DXF, STL, BMP, Grayscale (BMP), 3DMF and VRML
file formats for use in a wide range of applications
